When Courtney of Courtney Inghram Events came to me looking for a calligraphy logo design, I knew we were destined to have a lot of fun together! With her love of gorgeous florals and joyful personality this logo was just bound to be adorable.

We began the process by nailing down Courtney’s ideal client. Courtney Inghram Events offers floral design and events planning, so Courtney’s ideal client was a fun-loving bride who loves a classic, natural look with big bushy blooms and eucalyptus garlands!

Using every girl’s favorite site, Pinterest, we created an inspiration board together that captured Courtney’s blush pink, dusty miller and eucalyptus green branding colors. Then, it was time to design!

Courtney’s design started out with several iterations of her business name in calligraphy, to test which would give the best balance of a whimsical feel while still maintaining easy readability. I then moved on to sketching the shape of the eucalyptus garland.

From the very beginning, Courtney knew that she wanted to incorporate a lush eucalyptus garland into her logo, but wasn’t quite sure how. We worked through several garland shapes together, until we found one that balanced out the calligraphy in her business name. We wanted the garland to add a little something extra to the logo, but not to overpower the name of her business. Both should be seen together and balanced equally!

After finding just the right eucalyptus green watercolor, her logo was complete! I am so thrilled with how it turned out, and Courtney couldn’t have been a more wonderful client to work with. Her brides are so lucky to have her organizing their weddings, as she brings joy to every situation!

After we finished up Courtney’s calligraphy logo design, we finished out her re-brand with a darling little thank you note, business card, and website buttons!
