I will never forget meeting with Lindsey and her mom at Starbucks! They were so sweet and excited, and I knew that they would be amazing to work with from Day 1!
When we first started designing their Historic Post Office invitation suite, they immediately knew they wanted to feature a monogram, as well as the florals from the wedding and a watercolor illustration of Lindsey & Chris. From there, we played with a few different layouts for the top of their invitation!
We also explored options for their details cards, but were stuck between two designs! The first was a watercolor of Lindsey and Chris, on a dock (where he proposed!). The second, was a watercolor of their venue – the Historic Post Office. But, how to choose?
In the end, we picked the watercolor of the dock! Chris is an avid fisherman, so we loved the opportunity to bring a little more of him and his hobbies into the wedding!
Then in Proof Two – we get to the best part! I add the watercolor, and everything goes from black/white/grey to full color!
With this proof, we also added in a few more special details! If you look closely, two small boat bumpers are hanging off the dock in the details card. On them you can see two dates – when they met and when they got engaged!
Little details like these are one of my favorite parts of the custom design process – not only can we create artwork that is beautiful and unique to you, we can infuse meaningful details and memories into the art!
Finally, it’s time to take a look at the whole suite together! We paired their suite with light grey/beige outer envelopes, and wine colored inner envelopes! Polished off with gold foil stamping combined with digital printing, this suite is a stunner!
I just love how this suite came together, and hope that you do too! Lindsey and Chris, thank you so much for trusting me to play a part in your special day!
