It’s the month of love, yall! To celebrate, I’ve put together a free printable to create your own Valentine’s Day Card. Inside the printable, you’ll find two different pages. Each page is catered towards a slightly different type of artist, so read below to see which is best for you!
The First Page – Calligraphy Practice Sheets
The first page of the free printable is in greyscale! This first page has the calligraphy in grey so that you can trace over it, and practice to create your own card! The blank section gives you space to practice without my letters, but with guidelines to keep everything straight. Print this practice sheet off as many times as you need to until you feel comfortable with creating the calligraphy on your own!
Don’t be afraid to add your own flair to the calligraphy. The beauty of calligraphy is that it is like handwriting – no two pieces look exactly alike! To really make this card your won, you can vary the baseline of the letters a bit, or add some extra flourishes if you’re feeling real fancy. You know, they say you can tell how much a calligrapher likes someone by how many flourishes they have on their letters. (…Just kidding, they definitely don’t say that.)
The Second Page – Calligraphy Printable
On the second page, you’ll see the same design, but in black and white! This page is perfect for printing out on the paper of your choice, to quickly create a perfect card without the extra layer of calligraphy. You can print this on regular computer paper, and decorate it with markers/paint, or just keep it classic and simple. You could also purchase colored paper from Amazon, or local craft stores, to give your card that little extra pizzaz!
I hope that this Valentine’s Day card free printable helps you all tell those you love how special they are to you this month! I hope you’ll share how your cards turn out, I always love to see how each of you put your own unique spin on it!
